Oh, where to start? Wobbly bathroom seats, that is unbecoming for a luxury hotel. And they don't even serve breakfast until 9.30-how quaint. If I hadn't expected a lovely welcome gift, I might have forgiven them, but one does not stay here without being treated like royalty, which I just couldn't!

central base for exploring castles and beautiful caves
my stay was fantastic with a cozy, clean room and the helpful host provided excellent insights about nearby attractions like the beautiful Church of St Edmund just a short walk away and the Peak Cavern which is less than a 15-minute stroll, perfect for my weekend city strolls and park views.

Beautiful accommodation with magnificent setting next to the Centre of Castleton, and hiking trails. Extra care from the very helpful staff. Good bed, well-appointed and great modern room with a mini refrigerator and coffee. A bath in the bathroom.

The honest truth about this
Comfortable and well-decorated room with fine views of fields and mountains. A friendly host, always ready to help with local insights.
Limited parking options, necessitating a short walking distance for a fee while dining at the hotel could help mitigate costs.

The decor was beautiful. With excellent views from our room. Alan was attentive, we had everything we needed . Perfect location for exploring the lovely village and nearby trails.
Was all great. But the bathroom door squeaked.

The superior double room was huge and impeccably decorated, with fine views of the fields and mountains. It was stocked with a coffee maker and a fridge filled with fresh milk and water.
Parking is a bit of a gamble. Finding a spot on the road near the house can be tricky, especially during busy times. While the proximity to the village center is a plus, it does involve a short trek with your gear after a long day of walking in the hills.

The room was immaculate and spacious, and I loved the cozy feel of fresh flowers welcoming me upon arrival. I enjoyed winding down in the peaceful garden and taking a nice stroll through the nearby park. The bed was a bit firmer than I prefer, but it didn't take away from my amazing experience. Don't miss out on the local pubs nearby, they're a real treat! 😊

Didn't feel like leaving; would have extended the stay. Really enjoyed every detail about my very nice 2 nights stay. The location was perfect, for example, Seven Streets was not very far from the hotel. It was in a domestic area. It was close to a bus station. Rewritten: I loved my stay so much that I didn't want to leave and would have gladly extended it. Every aspect of my two-night stay was delightful. the location was just right; for instance, Seven Streets was conveniently close by. I particularly loved that it was situated in a peaceful residential area and also near a bus station.
